We are a group of filmmakers in Georgia and Canada passionate about the ideas and narratives that propel culture. In an increasingly homogenized world we want to discover and document attitudes, customs and symbols that continue to resist the growing threat to diversity in the world’s cultural ecosystem. We consider ourselves “insiders”, people who are natives of, or have lived a long time in the countries we are filming in, but our aim is not merely to interpret these places for the benefit of “outsiders”, but to adopt a truly global, human perspective with particular attention to the imbalances and contradictions existing in the world today.

Mission

We aspire to draw attention, mainly through film making, to different cultural traditions, social problems and religious ideas, especially, but not only, in the regions of the Caucasus, eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Our aim is to produce stimulating cultural and ethnographic documentaries, as well as short art films that challenge viewers to think about how continuity and change can both clash and coexist.
